CHADDESLEY Corbett were knocked out of the JW Hunt Cup by Wyrley 2-1, who grabbed the winner in the last minute of extra time.
Martin Westcott's men wasted several openings in the first half with Marvin Whitter and Onwerekogba Okonedo working tirelessly and causing the Wyrley back four many problems.
Okonedo scored the first goal after good work by Whitter, but Chaddeley were dealt a blow just before the break when goalkeeper Gary Moore was injured thwarting an oncoming forward. Moore continued in goal in pain and limping.
After the break an injured Okonedo was replaced by Jon Baker, but Wyrley soon equalised. Unfortunately for Chaddesley Chris Griffin got cramp and had to be replaced by Roy Grant.
Neil Lucas had a chance to win the match for Chaddesley but his header went wide, and in the end it was Wyrley who snatched the winner.
Boss Westcott said: "The attitude, effort and performance was first class. We have played much worse and won. I was very proud of my players."
Top goal-scorer Tony Vale may be leaving the club to join Midland Combination Premier outfit Highgate United and Chaddesley are searching for a replacement.
They host Barnt Green Spartaks Reserves in the Worcestershire Junior Cup quarter-finals at 1.45pm on Saturday.
