WIXFORD AC fished its final match of the year, The P Osbourne Shield, in freezing temperatures on the River Arrow at Ragley.
Retired postman Dave Jay delivered the goods in fine style bagging five quality chub for a 12lb 4oz win.
Jay used a pole and caster and the same method earned Trevor Collins second place with 2lb 10oz, edging Martin Baker into third with 2lb 6oz. Section winners were junior Mat Shreeves and Horace Browning.
The club's agm and presentation night will be held at Alcester Trades Club, on December 8, from 8pm.
