ALVECHURCH face a tricky midweek trip to Derbyshire tonight when they take on Buxton in the FA Vase.
Shaun Cunnington's side were thwarted at the weekend when a frozen pitch forced Saturday's match to be abandoned.
But the Church boss remained confident his side could win the tie and a match with either Westfields of Selby Town in the third round.
"It was a bit disappointing not to play on Saturday as I never like to have free weeks," Cunnington explained.
"I'm hopeful we will get a result as we have a full squad to choose from."
That squad includes new central defender Wayne Brown who has been snapped up from West Midlands outfit Blackheath.
Lee Millard has also returned to Lye Meadow after a spell with Stratford Town but was due to sit-out the trip to Buxton as he was cup-tied.
"Wayne is a big centre half who can dominate opponents and he will give us some balance at the back.
"I am also hoping to bring in another keeper but those talks are ongoing."
Church are involved in more cup action on Saturday when they head to high-flying Malvern Town in the Polymac Services League Cup (ko 3pm) before reurning to league action on Tuesday at home to Chasetown (ko 7.45pm)
