Burntwood 1, Littleton 3
LITTLETON travelled to the home of the Midland Combination first division leaders with a much changed team but returned home victorious.
The visitors opened the scoring after 13 minutes when an inswinging corner from Perry Beddoes was headed on by Joe Wright to Chris Bate, whose header was blocked but Philip Haines was on hand to force home the rebound.
This was quickly followed by a fine run by Ben Greenwood whose cross found Wright but his close range effort was scrambled clear.
The visitors doubled their lead five minutes before half-time when a long ball out of defence found Wright who lobbed the onrushing keeper from 30 yards.
Burntwood obviously had a roasting at half-time as they came out in a more determined fashion. However, deb-utant goalkeeper, 40-year-old Darren Lynes, and the back four of Hay, Malins, Boulton and Lynes, held firm after the early shock of a home reply that instantly followed a shot from Beddoes that hit the bar.
It was backs to the wall time for ten minutes when the hosts also struck wood but they were pushing men forward and Littleton's quick forwards, especially Nathan Hawley and Tom Wilmot, were creating chances at the other end.
And their attacking efforts were rewarded four minutes from time when Hawley's pass led to Robbie Hands clinically firing in the clincher.
Littleton are home to Arch-dales on Saturday in the Wor-cestershire Junior Cup (1.45).
