Churchdown Panthers Colts 1,
Evesham Utd U-13 4
NOT even the fog and cold could dampen a fine display as Evesham maintained top spot in the league.
The Colts' attacking ambitions were mainly thwarted by the United midfield where James Bearcroft and Bryn Tomes dominated proceedings.
Henry Woods opened the scoring when he rounded the goalkeeper to finish after Tomes had sent him clear.
The combative Tom Evans made it 2-0 after picking up the ball on the wing and taking on and beating the Churchdown defence before firing home from just inside the box.
Woods scored a third in the second half when he ran through the defence and finished after an exquisite pass from Sam Ford.
Colts pulled one back with a rasping shot that flew past the diving Leon Ballard but this only spurred Evesham on and Louis Brown should have extended the lead but his shot hit a post and Ford followed up to bury the ball into the net.
