SALFORD Priors Amateur Theatrical Society welcomes audiences to its comic thriller, Secondary Cause of Death, this weekend.
The company will put on the murder mystery spoof at Salford Priors Memorial Hall on Friday at 7.30pm with two performances on Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Set in 1939 at a country hotel where most of the guests are disguised spies, double agents, psychotic killers or merely mad, the play takes an Agatha Christie murder mystery and turns it on its head. Audiences can look forward to seeing Inspector Pratt blunder his way through a web of intrigue and counter-intrigue as the body count increases.
Peter Gordan's recently-written play combines fast-paced action, farce and "whodunit" suspense, making it hugely popular with amateur theatre groups and their audiences.
Tickets, priced £5, are available from the ticket hotline on 01789 773523. There will also be a licensed bar.
