HAVING attended the Bromsgrove School production of Les Miserables, I offer my congratulations through Your View on their superb production.

Being my favorite show, having seen the professional stage version three times previously, I was, unfairly for the school cast, in a position to make comparisons.

The whole production and choice of venue, the Artrix, was excellent. The stage settings, lighting, effects and orchestral accompaniment were excellent too. The lead roles were very professionally played and well chosen and these, together with a superb supporting cast, made for a memorable evening.

In my view, this production was on a par with the professional versions I have seen and was a joy to watch. The work and effort of those involved clearly evident and justly rewarded.

For those in Bromsgrove unlucky to miss the show, you missed a treat on your doorstep, at minimal cost and certainly not commensurate with the standard of the production.
