LAST Saturday saw the third round of the Fisheasy Teams Winter League fished on Hampton Ferry and Eve-sham Town Waters.
A field of 50 competitors was in action on a cold day and catches were way above expectations.
The winner was John Hague (Odds and Sods), son of veteran Charlie, who caught six lovely chub for a total of 14-8-0 off Town peg 42.
Second place was taken by Fox Match Hereford team man Steve Hayes who bro-ught to the scales several chub for 13-8-0 off Town peg 53.
Clive Branson (Cardiff Sensas Nomads) was third with 10-14-0 again chub and some perch off peg 59 on the Town.
Local Shakespeare angler Tony Bench was fourth with 9-4-0 off Town peg 46, while the Ferry was represented by fifth finisher and member of team winners WB Clarke VDE captain Leigh Gardner (7-4-0).
Overall team standings: 1 WB Clarke 3; 2 Shakespeare 5; = 3 Quorn, Portway, Foxmatch; 6 Cardiff 9; 7 Daiwa Gordon 10; 8 Pershore MG 11; 9 Bait Box 13; 10 Odds & Sods 14.
