STAFF and pupils at a Barnt Green primary school are celebrating after a successful Ofsted report.
Inspectors said that St Andrew's First School, in Hewell Road, excelled in music, PE and extra-curricular activities.
The report also praised the behaviour of the pupils and said that standards at St Andrew's were very good.
Significant improvements were made in the foundation stage since the last inspection in December 2000.
Headteacher Kate Cholmondeley said: "We are very pleased with the report and proud of everyone at the school."
St Andrew's holds its open evening for prospective pupils on Wednesday, November 30, from 6 to 8pm, which includes performances from the school choir.
