A BROMSGROVE woman is preparing for a gruelling ten day trek along the Great Wall of China in an attempt to raise £3,000 for Breast Cancer Research.
Lisa Warren, from Kidderminster Road, has recently received confirmation for the walk next October.
She is already beginning the task of raising her sponsorship target.
The 24-year-old, who works for family business Broad Street DIY, took part in the Race For Life five kilometre run at Sanders Park, Bromsgrove, earlier this year, raising £400 for Cancer Research UK with her sister-in-law Hayley. But she will take her fundraising to the next level with Cancer Research UK's Trek For Life, walking for between four and eight hours each day along the Great Wall of China.
Lisa said: "Cancer Research is one of the most important charities there is. My mum was affected by it, so it is still close to me.
"I'm a little nervous, especially about the steep terrain. But I'm really looking forward to it. It is somewhere completely different to anywhere I've been before."
Details of fundraising events to help Lisa towards her £3,000 target will appear soon at www.lisawarrentrekschina.com
She can be sponsored through a secure Cancer Research UK website at www.bemycharity.com/lisawarren
