POLICE in Bromsgrove are appealing for information after a group of youths abducted two teenage girls at knifepoint from Barnt Green railway station.
The terrifying incident took place between 5 and 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 8. Two girls, aged 14 and 15, were taken by train from Barnt Green to Alvechurch station where they were ordered to make several phone calls to various individuals. Those individuals, a boy of 17 and two girls aged 15, then went to the Alvechurch area and were abducted by members of the group.
The 17-year-old lad was also robbed at knifepoint by a female member of the gang assisted by another male.During the incident the group of 15 to 20 offenders, described as black youths, also engaged in violent conduct in the Alvechurch area.
The victims managed to escape at about 7.30pm.
DC Mark Carter, of Bromsgrove police, said: "The victims have been left extremely shaken up following their frightening ordeal and I would appeal for anyone with any information about the incident to contact me.
"We have now pieced together what happened and I would urge anyone who saw anything at either Barnt Green station, on the train or in Alvechurch, to contact me immediately on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111."
None of the victims were seriously injured during the incident. A youth has since been arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
