THE November AGM saw president Sue Canfield and secretary Pam May step down from office.

Like a right and left shoe, they have proved to be the perfect pair over the past four years.

Pam has been a super-efficient secretary, always calm and well organised.

Just watching Sue's energy and enthusiasm for all things WI has, at times, left members feeling exhausted but, as Sue has proved, that's obviously the way to double the membership.

WI adviser Ann Smith organised the voting for the ne president and Janet Marshall was duly elected.

Ann gave a vote of thanks to the outgoing president and committee.

Now members are looking forward to supporting Janet as president, Pat Willis, who takes over as secretary, Liz Sibbit, who continues for a second year as treasurer, and the rest of the committee.

A special thank you and the annual award of the Silver Bud Vase to a non-committee member went to Daphne Moone for her dedicated hard work in organising the catering rota for two years and for always being there to lend a hand and make sure all catering ran smoothly.

On behalf of all members, Janet Marshall thanked Sue for the commitment, hard work and sense of humour she had shown while president and Pat Willis thanked Pam for her quiet and dedicated hard work as secretary.

To end a very relaxed evening, members enjoyed refreshments with a Bonfire Night theme.
