AT the November meeting, members toasted the WI's 90th birthday with a glass of Elderflower Presse.
It is also the 68th birthday of Kington with Dormston WI.
Arrangements for the theatre visit to see My Fair Lady at Malvern in March are going well and three members had enjoyed looking for suitable venues for the Christmas dinner in January.
In December, there will be the usual American supper, when the speaker will be Brian Draper on What is a River and the competition will be for six homemade mince pies.
Speaker Sheila Tremellen talked about PUPS, The Protection of Unwanted Puppies Society. She had been involved in dog rescue for 40 years and founded PUPS 15 years ago, in which time she had rescued 792 puppies.
In 2002, she was awarded the BBC TV Animal Award.
Two of Mrs Tremellen's dogs then joined members for supper.
The competition for a dog photograph was won by president Delice Bayliss and the raffle was won by Kay Howse.
