I WOULD like to say I think our MP is doing a grand job in trying to save the Alexandra Hospital from the highly paid people who think nothing of the needs of those who help to give them a big wage packet.

It seems they need to make cuts in essential services so they can keep their jobs.

As regards Julie Kirkbride MP and Karen Lumley, I would have thought they would have something better to do, with such a big issue as the Alex, than try to gain voters by complaining over the type of paper somebody has used.

WOULD somebody tell Julie Kirkbride that we don't give a damn if Jacqui Smith has upset the protocol at Westminster by using Parliament's postal system in her efforts to save the services at the Alex.

Instead, Miss Kirkbride should be standing shoulder to shoulder with Ms Smith in her campaign to prevent these closures.
