POLICE are appealing for members of the public to keep their eyes peeled for two sets of potentially dangerous prescription drugs, which have been lost or misplaced in Worcester and Droitwich.
On Friday a woman, who had recently moved from Droitwich to Worcester, lost a blue carrier bag in which was a cake, together with her prescription drugs.
Among the missing medication were 60 Tramadol tablets, 56 Amitriptyline tablets and 56 Temazapan tablets.
The woman believes the carrier bag containing the tablets may have been lost during a visit to Droitwich on Friday, during which she visited the churchyard at St Nicholas' Church in Ombersley Road.
Then on Saturday a Worcester man lost a Tesco bag in which were some Metformin tablets, used for the control of diabetes, and some Nicorandil tablets, prescribed for the treatment of heart conditions.
A police spokesman said: "Tablets like these could present a risk to the public, and particularly children, if not specifically prescribed for them or if taken in anything other than a prescribed dosage.
"Any member of the community who finds these bags or the tablets is urged to contact us immediately and, should they find the bag, to take it immediately to their nearest police station."
The number to call is 08457 444 888, and the respective incident numbers are 360S/191105 and 385S/201105.
