A CHARITY which plays a leading role fighting heart disease has celebrated the refurbishment of its Worcester shop.
Mayor Aubrey Tarbuck joined staff at the British Heart Foundation shop in Mealcheapen Street to mark the event.
The shop's interior has new lighting and new laminated flooring. The outside has had a facelift and features new signs.
Julie Dennis, BHF Shops area manager for Worcester, said: "We are delighted with the changes - it looks fantastic.
"We hope the local community will continue to support the shop as they have done so magnificently in the past."
The shop is urgently appealing for good quality clothes, accessories, bags, shoes, books, DVDs, CDs and bric-a-brac.
Pictured (front) are Pat Bush, the shop's longest-serving volunteer after 13 years there, and Edna Tyler, who has been a volunteer for six years.
