A CANDLElit vigil and protest march is being organised by campaigners fighting against proposed cuts at a county hospital.
Moving A&E and cancer services away from the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and centralising them at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital are among options put forward by Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in a bid to slash spending by £20m a year.
The Save The Alex campaign group is now urging supporters to meet at the hospital on Thursday, December 15, at 4pm and light a candle as a sign of hope that the trust will scrap the proposals.
And on January 7, they will lead a protest march to the West Midlands South Strategic Health Authority headquarters in the town.
