SIR - I really miss the lovely car boot sales that we used to have at County Hall, especially to buy plants or get holly and Christmas trees. It always had a great atmosphere and was great fun on Sunday morning. Why is Worcester City Council so unfriendly in this way? Aren't car boots up-market enough for Worcester?
We pay for County Hall and its extravagant surroundings, put there to stop any ordinary people parking their cars in 'their' grounds, or being naughty and taking short cuts!
If they have to stop us enjoying the sales in County Hall - they even helped some people fund their Christmas expenses - why don't they offer an alternative? What about letting people use some of the vast acres of car park around Pitchcroft or the park-and-ride. They could even charge us 20p to go in if they wanted to raise even more revenues.
ANGELA PARSONS,
Worcester.
