PUBLIC speaking is traditionally something that everybody either loves or hates.
For those who love it - or were arm-twisted into it by their eager club chairmen - YFC County Office was the place to be recently when competitions were held for each of the three age ranges: senior, intermediate and junior.
In the morning, it was the turn of seniors and intermediates to improve their interview skills in the Situations Vacant competition.
All the competitors were commended for the high standards they demonstrated in this competition by the judges.
The final results were:
1 Cutnall Green YFC
2 Martley YFC
3 Bromsgrove YFC
Cutnall Green will go on to represent Worcestershire at West Midland's area competitions day next year.
In the afternoon it was the turn of the juniors.
The speeches were of a high standard and ranged in subject from training puppies, shooting, dancing and a year in YFC.
The judges, David and Sandra Goodwin, praised all of the young members for being brave enough to have a go at the competition especially the ones as young as 12, and commended them on their high standards.
The final results were:
1 Wythall YFC
2 Inkberrow YFC
3 Cutnall Green YFC
Wythall will represent Worcestershire at West Midland's Area competitions day next year.
