THE magic and adventure of classic children's novels came to life at a Worcestershire school this week as youngsters came in dressed as their favourite book characters.
Pinvin First School, in Main Street, Pinvin, near Evesham, was awash with little Harry Potters, Cinderellas and Sleeping Beauties, among others, as children let their imaginations run wild.
The fancy dress day was held on Wednesday as part of the school's book week, which has also seen pupils make their own tomes.
Malvern librarian Amanda Duncan also visited to read stories to the children and the school is holding a book fair throughout the week.
Headteacher Pat Trivett said: "We've had a lovely time - the children are really excited and there's a real buzz about the school."
