A VARIED programme of events this weekend in the parish hall. Tonight (Friday) at 7pm, members of the Mtwara/Ledbury Link hold a social evening to bring together all those who are interested in finding out more about the link and to help raise funds. Mtwara is a harbour town in south-eastern Tanzania, 12 miles north of the Mozambique border. Last year, Ledbury Deanery raised £5,000 to alleviate poverty in the Masasi Diocese when famine followed three years of drought. Tickets for the evening are £3 and include a Tanzanian meal and illustrated talk.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Holy Trinity church and the parish hall combine their fundraising efforts in a Christmas fayre, 10.30am-noon. Stalls include Christmas specials, traditional mincemeat, preserves and cakes, tombola, lucky dip, gifts, plants, bric-a-brac, books, videos, raffle, crafts section with jewellery, paintings and much more! Jenny Faize's Traidcraft stall with Christmas selections will also be there. Contributions to any of the stalls would be most welcome.

North Country Theatre return to Bosbury in the evening with Ian McEwan's The Imitation Game at 7.30pm. A moving story of a young woman wireless operator during the Second World War. Tickets from Brian Clutterbuck on (01531) 640415 or on the door.

On Sunday, November 20 at Holy Trinity Bosbury, Children's Church is at 10am. On Advent Sunday, November 27 at 6.30pm, a Taize service.
