A REMINDER that this evening (Friday), Brian Draper will be giving another of his talks in the hall at 7.30pm. Brian is an experienced and interesting speaker, who usually gives talks on our local rivers, but this time he will be telling us about Scotland. His knowledge and excellent photography should make for an entertaining evening. Tickets are £3 for adults and children are free.
The Remembrance Sunday service at the Memorial Hall was well attended and The Rev. Howard Mayell spoke of the need for tolerance and understanding in an increasingly dangerous world.
The Last Post and Reveille was beautifully played by Luke Mayell and a poppy wreath was laid at the Roll of Honour.
A collection was taken and £120 has been sent to Earl Haig Fund.
