BROMSGROVE Rovers chairman Tom Herbert has targeted nine points from the next three games to transform his club's flagging season.

Mid-table Rovers travel to Burnham tomorrow in the midst of an under-achieving Southern League Division One West campaign (3pm).

Making matters worse, the Victoria Ground side crashed out of the FA Trophy last Saturday, slumping to a 2-0 defeat at Bath City.

Despite a bad sequence in which Jimmy Mullen's side have failed to win any of their last four matches, supremo Herbert is not losing heart.

He actually praised the club's players and predicts a brighter future for Rovers if they can win their next three league encounters.

Following tomorrow's trip to Wymers Wood Road, Rovers entertain Midland rivals Solihull Borough on Tuesday and head to strugglers Beaconsfield SYCOB on December 3.

Herbert said: "I can't fault the players. They have worked tremendously hard and have been a bit unlucky. To be honest, we're playing some great football.

"We're making lots of chances but we are struggling to kill sides off. If we could get nine points from the next three matches then it would change our season."

Striker Duncan Willetts is still awaiting his first-team debut following his move from bottom club Stourport Swifts.

Willetts did not travel to Bath and instead scored for Bromsgrove's reserves in the 4-2 reverse to Mickleover Sports.

The reserves entertain Boldmere tomorrow in the Challenge Trophy first round (2.45pm).
