SIR - In the late 1960s I bought a pair of men's leather sole and upper brogue brown shoes. After a few years' wear, I stopped wearing them. But rather than throwing them away, put them in the back of a wardrobe.
Some years back, I came across them again and, being a style of shoe that is still sold today, I think, started to wear them again. Some 36 years on, they remain in extremely good condition save for a bit of sewing required to the upright of the shoes against the heel.
Is there a shop in Worcester where I can buy a good pair of brogue black shoes with leather soles which last as long as they did in the 1960s?
KEITH STOKES-SMITH,
Worcester.
