A NEW Mike Leigh play is touring just six regional theatres as part of the National Theatre's Spring Tour - and Malvern has been chosen as one of the venues.
Two Thousand Years is Leigh's new play which sold out its entire five-month run at the National's Cottesloe Theatre before it was even given a title.
It explores the lives and relationships of three generations in a contemporary London Jewish middle class family and the play will tour with its full London cast, including Allan Corduner, who played Sir Arthur Sullivan in Mike Leigh's film Topsy Turvey and appeared in his most recent film, Vera Drake.
Two Thousand Years comes to Malvern from March 7 to 11. Tickets cost £16 to £24. Call the box office on 01684 892277 (malvern-theatres.co.uk).
