SARAH Armstrong led a team from Amazing Feet Running Club as the ladies opened their Midland Women's League cross country season at Senneleys Park with a 20th place of the 30 teams.
Armstrong came 43rd in 27 minuted 14 seconds, Rachel Ward was 88th in 29-31, Sarah Lewis 144th in 33-21 and Kirstie Dunn 159th in 36-50.
With the first three all being veterans, the club also secured sixth place out of 13 vets' only teams.
David Pye finished just three seconds out from his estimated time of 25-24 to win the club's handicap race in 25-27 over a 5.2kn course in Wyre Forest.
Runners are not allowed to run with a watch and are ranked according to how near they finish to their predicted time. New member Fiona Fowkes was the winning lady, just 17 seconds away from her prediction in 35-17.
First across the line was Tamara Carse in 29-26, while the first man to finish was another new member, Chris Gibson, in 25-4.
Rachel Ward took part in the eight-mile Sodbury Slog, at Chipping Sodbury, completing the tough multi-terrain event in one hour 29-34 to finish 294th out of 969 athletes, and first F40.
All members should attend the club's 12th annual meeting in the Aggborough Suite at 8pm tonight.
