ROWNEY Green Players presents Peter Gordon's comedy Out of Focus at Rowney Green Peace Hall, starting tonight.
The story is based around a church hall annexe where a series of over-bookings have been made, bringing together a Brownie troop meeting, a badminton game, table tennis, auditions for the vicar's wife's new pantomime and an illustrated talk on steam locomotives in a confusion-filled comedy fest.
Rowney Green Players started in 1923 as a Shakespearean society and, after dipping in popularity, re-emerged in 1944 with a production of The Farmer's Wife. The group now delivers two productions a year performing a mix of drama, thriller, farce, pantomime and musical.
The show runs until Saturday and performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7 (£6.50 concessions), including a glass of wine or soft drink. Tickets are available online from www.rowneygreenplayers.co.uk or on 0121 445 3901 or 0121 445 1562.
