CHADDESLEY Corbett's West Midland League Division Two lull continued with a 3-0 defeat at Penkridge.
Penkridge scored after 30 seconds, and Marvin Whitter had a golden chance to equalise but over-ran the ball when clean through.
Just 10 minutes later Chaddesley conceded the second.
Chaddesley then settled down and played good football, but never really looked threatening.
Penkridge added the third in the second half just as the visitors began to look menacing.
Manager Martin Westcott made no excuses for his side's disappointing defeat.
He said: "Penkridge Town thoroughly deserved victory.
"Their players were totally committed all over the pitch for 90 minutes.
"We had different players, at different stages, performing well, while errors proved costly at the back".
He added that after the recent good run of results, he hoped this defeat will make players realise that 100 per cent effort is needed in every match.
Westcott reported that Bewdley Town Reserves have put in seven days' notice of approach for Chris Darby.
He said: "It has not come as a surprise at all. I have been waiting for an approach from them for one of my players. If we can help a fellow local club out, so be it".
Chaddesley's next match is against Wyrley in the JW Hunt Cup, played at Bilbrook, kick-off 2pm, on Saturday.
