EVESHAM Journal readers and advertisers have helped raise more than £2,000 for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
The money comes from proceeds of the sale of a special publication to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The book, produced by the Evesham Journal and its sister publication the Worcester News, was sold through the Journal's High Street office and other retail outlets.
World War II - An Account Of Local Stories contains the memories of ordinary people in Worcestershire, including the Vale of Evesham, who lived though an extraordinary time.
Some £2,225 has been donated to the RBL through a cover price contribution from the publication which was supported by Journal Series advertisers.
Editor John Murphy said: "I'd just like to thank readers who bought the book and advertisers who helped support it. You've made a significant contribution to the Poppy Appeal at a time when it is becoming increasingly important."
