A TEENAGER who lost her art coursework at an Evesham shopping centre is delighted after receiving it back.

Charlotte McSwiney from Badsey left her art A3 black folder on a bench outside Next, a clothing store on Friday, November 4 while sitting with friends in the Riverside shopping centre.

The 15-year-old, Prince Henry high school pupil was distraught after discovering she had lost her folder containing her GCSE art coursework.

The folder was picked up by 15-year-old Christopher Packwood who found it in the Riverside shopping centre on Friday, November 4.

Christopher also a Prince Henry high school pupil left the folder at his father's fishing shop, the Bait Box on the High Street in Evesham that Friday.

Dave Packwood said: "Christopher bought it to the shop after he came from school on Friday and told me, he thought the folder with artwork in might be someone's coursework.

He wasn't sure as there was no name in it. I read the Journal last Thursday and thought it might be the girl's in the paper."

Mr Packwood delivered the folder to Prince Henry's high school last Thursday, in the hope that it was Charlotte's.

"I went to the school on Thursday and spoke to the head about the folder. I told him I thought it might be Charlotte's he seemed over the moon. Her parents were pleased when they heard the news. I hope if my child is in the same position someone will help him out," added Mr Packwood.

Charlotte was handed her folder back last Friday and said: "I'm really glad I've got my folder back I've put my name in it now. I'm just relieved to get it back."

The art folder with 15 pieces of artwork, which Charlotte had spent months working on will contribute towards her final GCSE art grade, which she will sit on Wednesday, November 23.
