A BROADWAY artist is showing off her creative flair with an angel art exhibition next month.
Christine Barnett, who lives and works in the village, will be opening up her home for the public to buy and view her work on December 2, 3 and 4.
Her work has been exhibited and collected across the world and she recently completed a mural for an autistic school in Berkshire.
Her paintings often combine physical reality with imagin-ation. Many pictures contain mermaids, another features lovers hiding in a bunch of flowers and more recently her work has seen the reoccurring theme of angels.
The former co-owner of the Anderson Gallery in Broadway, said: "As I have grown and developed in my life and opened up more to my own spirituality the angels seem to have grown
"Whether you believe in angels or not we all live a life beyond our everyday reality in our emotions, our imagination, our intuition, and feelings. The angels are my way of expressing the unexpressable and connect-ing to the mystery and wonder of the world, the sheer joy at being here and the beauty all around us."
Ten per cent of the proceeds from the exhibition will go to youth projects in and around Broadway. The exhibition will be available for public viewing from 5pm to 7pm on Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entry to see the paintings is free. Prints and postcards will be on sale.
