A POPULAR Terry Pratchett novel will be brought to life in Areley Kings this week.
The Stourport Three Arts Guild will present Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents from today until Saturday.
Pratchett's book, which was adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs, is based on the tale of the Pied Piper and tells the story of a talking cat called Maurice, who leads a group of rats.
There are 28 members in the cast, who range in age from seven to 70, and they have been rehearsing since August.
Member, Alex Forty, said the play had been a "laugh" to rehearse, adding: "I think anyone of any age can enjoy the play. We are hoping for a lot of people - the more the merrier. We are sure it will be a success, as Terry Pratchett is a popular author."
There are three evening performances, starting at 7.30pm, and a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.
