A BROOM councillor along with residents from the village have planted Breakthrough Breast Cancer crocus bulbs.
The team of four keen gardeners, Councillor John Hendey along with Elizabeth Uggerloese, parish clerk, and resi-dents Roger and Victoria Barrett planted the bulbs around the village last Saturday.
The thousand bulbs, which were bought from Breast Cancer aware-ness earlier in the year, were this year given to Broom.
Cllr Hendey said: "The 1,000 crocus bulbs have this year been given to Broom to plant and we're pleased that we're not only making the area look good but supporting a worthy cause by buying these bulbs from the charity.
