BUSY fund-raisers have collected more than £1,200 to help fund vital research into cancer with a hat-trick of charity events.
The Wyre Forest committee of Cancer Research UK raised £450 at its popular gardeners' question time, held at Stone Manor last month, and a coffee morning at the Kidderminster home of committee member, Mike Griffiths and his wife, Anne, made £500.
A further £300 was raised through a collection outside the B and Q store over two days in October.
Committee members will be collecting again at the store on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11.
