ANDY Preece insists there is no rush to draft new blood into Worcester City's ranks.
The St George's Lane player-manager will be provided with resources to bolster his squad following City's incredible FA Cup success, according to chairman Dave Boddy.
Worcester are expected to glean up to £200,000 from their involvement in the competition, including prize money, TV in-come, gate receipts, advertising and shop sales.
And Boddy revealed that a portion of cash would be made available to Preece to strengthen his relatively small squad that harbours hopes of mounting a Nationwide North play-off bid.
But Preece is unlikely to be tempted into making any sudden signings.
"I'm sure there will be the backing for me financially," said Preece. "I'll be very disappointed if there's not.
"We will take a look at things, but first and foremost we just want a plan, a long-term plan that will help us to go forward and out of this league. That's what we are looking at.
"We don't want to spend money willy-nilly. We want to put it to good use and make sure we can compete with some of the bigger boys in this league.
"Nationwide North is only going to get stronger. It's going to be very tough again next year.
"Kettering Town are suddenly going to come up with money, plus there's other sides like Stalybridge Celtic.
"I could name about eight or nine clubs with money and good resources, but only two sides can get promoted. So just having money doesn't mean anything."
Meanwhile, prices have been hiked for the all-ticket FA Cup second round clash against Huddersfield Town on Sunday, De-cember 4. Stand tickets are £13 adults and £7 concessions, with terrace prices at £12 adults and £6 concessions.
Tickets will be sold first to Category One fans which includes season ticket holders, Georgie & Blue Dragon Club members, Supporters Club & Trust members, Supergold Agents and those holding 10 programme vouchers this season.
They can be purchased on Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday 23 from 10.30am to 4.30pm in the club office and, on Wednesday 23, from 8pm to 10pm in the social club.
For Category Two fans -- special voucher holders, 200 Club members and Team Builder members -- tickets are available on Thursday, November 24 and Friday 25 from 10.30am to 4.30pm and on Friday 25, 8pm to 10pm. Remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public at City's home FA Trophy tie against Kendal Town on Saturday, November 26.
They will be sold inside the ground, so admission to the Trophy clash is required. In all categories, only one ticket is allowed per person.
There will be a limited number of concessions in the stand and specific tickets will also be required to stand in the enclosure in front of the main stand.
