STUDENTS and graduates can access the most up-to-date careers opportunities and advice at the University of Worcester's Graduate Opportunities Fair.

More than 30 businesses and employers' organisations will be at the University's St John's campus, tomorrow from 10.30am to 3pm.

Top employers will be on hand including the National Health Service, the Royal Air Force, the Children's Information Service, Worcestershire County Council, Barnado's and Malvern Theatres as well as Job Centre Plus and the Weststaff recruitment agency.

The free event, which is held every year, offers advice and guidance on everything from work experience opportunities, gap years and graduate placement schemes through to full and part-time study opportunities. The Graduate Opportunities Fair will be opened by BBC Midlands Today presenter, Bernadette Kearney.

More than 450 people attended last year's fair and this year's event is expected to top that record.

Rose Watson, Senior Career Advisor at the University said: "The event is open to students as well as graduates.

"It is an ideal opportunity for any first and second year students to find out about part-time work opportunities now as well as to receive advice on their potential future careers."

University of Worcester Vice Chancellor, Professor David Green said: "The University enjoys a very strong relationship with businesses and organisations throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire."
