A FRAIL old woman was knocked to the floor by a masked raider who burst into her Mount Pleasant shop threatening to kill her if she didn't hand over any money.
But although terror stricken, the plucky 81-year-old granny refused the demands of the vicious raider, and he made his get away empty-handed.
The woman who did not want to be named for fear of reprisals, told how the horror began when the man burst into her shop brandishing a rolled up newspaper.
He demanded the cash from the till threatening "your money or your life".
When the lady told him "no" the raider's courage was lost and he ran off knocking her to the floor.
"At first I thought it was a joke but it was soon clear he meant business, but you do not give in to someone like that," said the brave lady.
"If he wants money he should go out and work for it like everyone else."
