Stoke 2 - 2 Headless Cross

Headless Cross Ladies recorded their second draw of the season after an impressive performance away at Stoke.

They took the lead when Alison Wayley won the ball in midfield and the resulting pass was steered into the goal by striker Kirsty Robbins.

Cross continued to probe the Stoke defence with Boddington being denied by some good saves. But they suffered a blow when the home side levelled with a long-range strike.

The visitors regained the lead early in the second half when a Wayley corner was met with force by Robbins to bag her second.

But just as the points looked to be in the bag, Stoke forced the ball home from a corner.

Redditch VC Women 0 Phoenix Hereford 3

Redditch came up against the league leaders and it was Phoenix who came out on top to maintain their 100 per cent record.

Home keeper Nicky Metje had to be alert early on but could not stop the Hereford outfit from opening up a 3-0 lead.

VC's best chance came late on when the keeper saved a shot and Jenna Dedicoat was unable to turn the loose ball into the net.
