A SECOND half fight back by Spa wasn't enough to prevent defeat in a well-contested Worcestershire League match on Saturday.
Spa battled back hard from 2-0 down in the first half, but was unable to grab an equaliser.
Spa's opponents opened the scoring from a short corner.
Worcester doubled the lead with a flowing attack just before half time.
In the second half Droitwich hit back and carved out several scoring chances they could not take.
Kate Rodgman though pulled a goal back in the match's dying minutes. However, Spa could not grab an equaliser.
Droitwich's players of the match were Rosanne Brooks, Linzi Deacon and goalkeeper Helen Dent. Spa take on Old Silhilians on Saturday.

Spa were too strong for their Birmingham based opponents on Saturday.
Kate Eveleigh opened the scoring with a thundering strike in the opening minutes.
Midfielder Emma Fayre doubled Droitwich's lead.
The seconds, sponsored by the Royal Navy, then wrapped up the match when Louis Clarke rifled the ball into the back of the net.
