THERE'S new leaders in Aquaid Division One of the Stratford Alliance after Ben Adshead's treble spearheaded Henley Forest to a 6-2 win over Southam.
That result and a day off for Quinton and Broadway leaves Henley two points clear at the summit where the top trio look set for a right old tussle for top flight honours.
Earlswood failed to repeat the previous week's heroics when they defeated Broadway as they lost out to a Peter Croy strike at Badsey United.
Bidford's and Ilmington's efforts to get back into title contention were thwarted after defeats at Alcester and Stratford Spartak respectively with Jamie Faulkner and Greg Castle both scoring twice in the latter's 4-2 success.
Amazingly, the leading four sides in both Herald Division Two and Cutler Division Three locked horns with the top two teams profiting from victories.
Tony Roberts netted twice to help FISSC overcome Studley Nags Head, while Dan Ingram's brace was a key factor as second in the second division Halfords came out on top after a five-goal thriller at the Swan Inn.
Duncan Hodgkins and Rich Skan both scored twice as Dog and Pheasant moved third courtesy of a 5-0 defeat of Badsey Rangers Reserves, while Shipston won the battle of the bottom two with goals from Matt Brown and Kevin Plank at home to Henley.
Dan Valentino's double ensured Welford stay on top of the third division after a 4-2 win at fourth in the table Henley, but Ilmington showed their title hunger by slamming eight goals past visitors Bidford.
Bryan Wilkins and Matt Petty both banged in hat-tricks for the winners.
Welford's B team recorded a first win of the winter as Chris Newey struck twice to see off Quinton 5-4 - a result that leaves FISSC Reserves bottom of the pile after a 4-1 reverse at Inkberrow.
Blockley needed only two scorers as they defeated Red Alert 5-3 as Steve Cross scored three times and Andy Borton twice. Dan Hodgkins' double for the losers was all in vain.
