SO another year goes by and another Remembrance Sunday.
The turnout at the Catshill Memorial was better than ever. And yet, I would like to 'congratulate' all those drivers who drove past during Sunday's service with the most gormless of looks on their faces - 'What's all that about?' Even during thetwo minutes silence!
It wasn't just younger people but those who would have experienced the Second World War. I'd also like to 'congratulate' the person who decided to use the bottlebank, which is located just behind the memorial, during the service. Well done that person! And well done the horse rider who trotted past during the service.
I'm not a religious person and I'm not an old codger, I'm not even 50 yet - just someone wishing to say thank you to people whose names are on a war memorial.
All that was asked for was a few minutes respect. Just a little bit of thought.
