I WOULD like to thank the Catshill Village Meadow committee for its brilliant Trick or Treat Treasure Hunt evening on the Memorial Meadow.
In this sad social climate when 'trick or treat' by children at doors is deemed unsafe, and older residents feel intimidated - the Meadow volunteers offered a professional, safe, fun and educational slant - with a torch-lit treasure hunt, fancy dress, disco music, pumpkin carvings and 'Penny for the Guy' competition (of which my son and his friends entered two guys) and all the children came away with a smile and a gift.
Well done - I have renewed confidence in good old British traditions!
