Painswick 0, Bredon Buzzards U-13 0
IN the first half of Sunday's 30-minute match, Painswick were camped in the Bredon half, pressing hard towards the visitors' line.
However, the defence held firm to thwart the good attacking forays before the forwards found their normal dominance.
That was matched and bettered by the Gloucestershire side but the first half ended with neither side crossing.
The Bredon boys woke up in a second half that was mainly played in Painswick territory. Scoring chances were scarce, though, and the teams had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Cheltenham B 15, Buzzards U-13- B 10
THESE two teams were also evenly matched but Cheltenham took the lead early in the first half.
Bredon dug in and clawed back a try by Simon Harkness to level the scores at half-time.
Cheltenham scored again early in the second half, but Bredon got back into game plan and levelled again through Harkness a minute from time.
They failed to hang on, though, as Cheltenham gained possession from the restart and crossed for the winning score in the final play.
