SIR - Regarding the Worcestershire school funding - or lack of it - the Department for Education and Skills 2005-06 figures for per pupil funding have just been publicly announced.
They show that despite previous accusations from certain quarters that my figures were "meaningless", the cash gap between a Birmingham and Worcestershire child has spiralled to a massive £840 per child per year less in 2005-06. With teachers on a national pay scale, and resources costing the same wherever a school may be, why are our children being relegated on a yearly basis, and what do we have to do to get the government to listen and act upon this gross unfairness?
HELEN DONOVAN,
Evesham.
