MARION welcomed us to our October meeting.
Greta read to us several items of interest, including forthcoming productions at the Swan Theatre.
Our president and secretary previously attended a group meeting at Feckenham, where the possibility of several group activities, including crochet, bowls, skittles and a trip to Malvern Theatre, were discussed.
We were then introduced to our speaker, Joy Gammon, whose subject was living in the Middle East. Most of her ten years there were spent teaching children at a school in Qatar.
For the remainder of the evening we were enthralled by avid descriptions of the lifestyle, flora and fauna, landscape, eating habits, social activities, fashions and so much more.
Our evening concluded with wine and cake to celebrate 90 years of WI.
Mary Mullen won the competition for the prettiest tea cloth.
