KIND-HEARTED Spa folk are preparing to pull together to raise much needed funds for the Children In Need appeal.
Friday will see people of all ages from the town taking part in activities, setting up sales and dressing in fancy dress in aid of the popular charity.
Staff and guests at Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre, Briar Mill, will be sponsored to take part in a 12 hour spinning class. The event will run from 7am until 7pm and see people getting in a sweat by riding bikes in an endurance test. People will also be dressing up during the day with some members of staff taking part as naughty nurses.
Organiser Sue Wakefield said: "It will be a great event and should be good fun as well. Children In Need is a good cause and we have had a good response from people who are taking part."
Youngsters from Safehands Nursery, Old Coach Road, will also be playing their part in the national campaign by attending school in fancy dress on Friday.
Staff will also be bringing in their own baby photos for a name the baby competition as well as running a cake sale.
Regulars at the Gardeners Arms in Vines Lane, will also be toasting the charity during a two-day event at the pub.
Visitors to the venue on Friday and Saturday will be able to pick up bargain Christmas presents from the toy and gift sale and also take part in the raffle and tombola.
The event will run over both days from 11am with hot pork rolls available for hungry fundraisers.
Children In Need raised more than £34.2million last year for children and young people across the United Kingdom and it is hoped that total can be smashed with kind donations during this year's appeal night on the BBC on Friday.
BBC Children In Need helps disadvantaged children to have a better life. These include children who are chronically ill or profoundly disabled, those who've been badly treated by the adults around them, children who live in poverty or inadequate housing, and some that are bullied, excluded or distressed.
