REDDITCH veterans laid wreaths of poppies to remember those who lost their lives in conflict at the Plymouth Road War Memorial on Friday.
The special service, organised by the Redditch branch of the Royal British Legion, marked Remembrance Day 60 years since the end of the Second World War. A similar wreath laying service was held in Sambourne.
The Kingfisher Shopping Centre also came to a standstill at 11am on Friday as shoppers fell silent to remember fallen soldiers.
And on Sunday, members of the Redditch branch of the British Legion took part in a parade across the town towards St Stephen's Church, where an honorary church service was held.
Remembrance Sunday church services were also held in Studley and Astwood Bank.
