THE wheels of the proposed Bordesley bypass scheme have finally been put in motion.
Worcestershire County Council is putting together its planning application for the new mile-long dual carriageway, which will serve the proposed Abbey Stadium development.
The county council has said the new leisure complex would require the road to cope with additional traffic.
The construction of a bypass would be dependent on Redditch Council's Abbey Stadium development getting the go-ahead.
Redditch Council will meet the bulk of the costs for building the road, estimated to be up to £10.7 million.
