REDDITCH Lions will once again be relying on the generosity of townsfolk when they collect for Children in Need this Friday.
Members will be at Worcester Square in the Kingfisher Centre from 9am-5pm.
A spokesman said: "The club will be more than happy to accept donations from individuals or groups of people. In past years, it has been noticed that there are regular people and businesses in Redditch that we now recognise and look upon as friends who bring their savings from over the last year to help swell our collection.
"We look forward to seeing those people again and thank them in advance."
The Lions' recent bonfire night fireworks party, held with the support of the Neville Arms pub, proved a huge success with about 1,000 turning up to watch the spectacular.
The event included refreshments, competitions, a children's disco and entertainment from Hospital Radio Pulse.
The spokesman added: "Radio Pulse was brilliant. There were three DJs taking requests, giving out sweets to the kids and generally getting people to join in."
The final total for the night, which will help support good causes in the area, has not yet been added up but club members believe they had an even better turnout than last year.
