A REDDITCH police officer has been given a brand new car to help his crime prevention work.
The Vauxhall Astra estate is sponsored by ADT Fire and Security and has been presented to Pc Eddie Mills, crime risk manager for Redditch.
The car has been marked with the West Mercia Constabulary crest as well as ADT's logo. The company is the largest supplier of monitored security systems in the UK.
Pc Mills said: "We are thankful to ADT for providing us with this car as it will now be much easier for me to reach organisations and other people who may need specialist crime prevention advice.
"It will also mean that money which would have been spent on a car can now be used elsewhere."
Glynn LeBrocq, general manager of ADT's Birmingham branch, said: 'The vehicle will play a vital role in helping to reduce crime in the area.
"ADT is in the business of helping people feel safer and more secure and is 100 per cent behind raising awareness of the best ways to prevent crime."
